Services for Charlene Barker DuBois, 92, of Arlington, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Bartley Funeral Home with Chaplain Bo Abernathy officiating.
Interment will follow in Small Cemetery.
Mrs. DuBois passed away December 1, 2014 at her home in Arlington. She was born January 28, 1922 in Grand Saline to William Kirby “Billy” and Euna Henderson Savage. Charlene spent most of her life in Grand Prairie, 15 years in Donna and her last 15 years in Arlington. She was a member of the Webb Baptist Church in Arlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, L.A. “Buddy” Barker, Jr. and Louis DuBois; two sons, Billy Dean Barker and Gary Bob Barker; two brothers, William Terrell Savage and Angus Kirby Savage.
Survivors include one sister, Alta Barker of Emory; three grandchildren, Gary Don Barker of Dallas, Lonnie Barker of Grand Prairie/Arlington, and Sally Barker; great-grandchildren, Shawn Barker of Arlington, Zachary Barker of Lubbock, and Amanda Barker of Grand Prairie/Arlington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Barker, Danny Burns, Paul Burns, Stephen Burns, Bobby Edmondson, and Chad LaPrade.
Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Barker and Ray Kirkpatrick.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Saturday.
