Services for Betty Dunbar, 83, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Crossroads Church of Christ with Don Cannon officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunbar passed away May 1, 2015, in Quitman. She was born July 16, 1931, in Dawson to Alvis Davis & Elsie Ruth Grier Fagg. She spent most all of her life in Grand Saline. Betty worked as a seamstress for many years and was a great seamstress. She also worked 16 years at the Saline Cafe and then obtained her CNA certification. After becoming a CNA (Certified Nurses Aide), she worked for several years at the nursing home, home health and Cozby-Germany Hospital. She loved keeping up the yard and flower beds. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Waylon Fagg and Bobby Fagg; two sisters, Ruth Tull and Faye Cumbie; and one grandson, Matt Oliver.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis & Gary Fisher of Grand Saline and Doris & Dean Oliver of Grand Saline; two brothers and sister-in-law, Travis & June Fagg of Whitehouse and Jackie Fagg of Grand Saline; two sisters, LaNell Hawkins of Mineola and Virginia Gipson of Grand Saline; four grandchildren; Scott Fisher and wife Anna Lea, Jennifer Gilbert and husband Jim, Cody Fisher and wife Jamie, Heather Stanley, and Rachael Oliver, wife of the late Matt Oliver; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott Fisher, Cody Fisher, Jim Gilbert, Jeffrey Garrett, Donald Wayne Hawkins and Chaz Grimes.
Memorials may be made to Elsie Fagg Scholarship Fund c/o Fruitvale ISD.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
