Services for Donald Glen Edgmon, 87, of Alba, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Lake Fork Baptist Church, with Bro. Zach Tunnell officiating, under the direction of the church and his family.
Mr. Edgmon passed away January 24, 2024, in Tyler. He was born January 22, 1937, in Mossville, AR, to Roy Turner and Gracie Vola Watson Edgmon. On February 6, 1982, he married Patricia Ann Bonney Whittenburg in Snyder. In 2015, they moved to the Alba area from Woodlake. Since 1994, he had worked with volunteer groups building churches and camp buildings. He was a member of the Bentonville Masonic Lodge #56, The Grand Lodge of Arkansas, F & AM. Don was also a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church, the Encouragers Sunday School Class, Somebody’s Praying, and of the Lake Fork Builders group. Don was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.D. Edgmon; sister, Frankie Scott; and daughter, Terry Reams.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Pat Edgmon of Alba; three sons, Don Whittenburg and wife Mindy of Rhome, Steve Whittenburg and wife Karen of Snyder, and Tony Whittenburg of Muskogee, OK; two daughters, Diane Pennington of Lowell, AR, and Machelle Lamb and husband Charles of Elm Spring, AR; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
