Services for Mr. Ted Wayne Eichel, 64, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2020, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Vaughn and Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.
Mr. Eichel passed away January 31, 2020, at his home. He was born September 29, 1955, in Yokohama, Japan, to Burton & Makiko Yoshimi Eichel. Ted spent his early years in Gladewater before moving to Grand Saline 46 years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gladewater. He worked in the oil field all of his life and had been employed by XTO Energy for the last 15 years. Mr. Eichel was an avid fisherman and loved living life on the farm. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Beverly Eichel of Grand Saline; two sons, Brandon Eichel and wife Christine of Fruitvale and Daniel Koonce of Grand Saline; two daughters, Haley Tucker of Grand Saline and Felicia Jaiteh of Tyler; brother, Bud Eichel and wife Tracy of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Darlene Hutchins and husband Steve of Houston and Janet Sullivan and husband Dave of Ione, WA; four grandchildren, Tevin Howard, Ivy Howard, Kennedi Tucker and Kinlea Tucker; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lee "Lebo" Hallum, Chris Shipp, Scotty McDonald, Billy Woodrum, Jimmy Woodrum and Terry Don Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Woodrum and the Crew of Frontier 27.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
