Bert Lee Emerson Jr

Graveside services for Mr. Bert Lee Emerson, Jr., 92, of Alba, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Emerson passed away November 26, 2014, at his home in Alba. He was born June 19, 1922, in Beckville to Bert Lee & Phoebe Langley Emerson. He spent his early years in Beckville before moving to Alba, where he was a member of First Baptist Church of Alba. He retired from Siemens as a supervisor and was also a member of the Alba Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his children, Mary Louise Emerson; brother, Neal Emerson; two sisters, Joy Hackleman and Ruth Phillips; and infant twins.
Survivors include his wife, Linn Emerson of Alba; son, Danny Bert Emerson of Josephine; two daughters, Judy Kay West of Terrell and Nancy Jane Jacobs of Canton; sister, Pat Mankin of Krum; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held during visitation.
