Ethan O'Conner Jackson

March 17, 2003 — June 8, 2025

Yantis

A visitation to honor the life of Ethan O’Conner Jackson, 22, of Fort Worth, will be held from 1–3 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba.

Ethan passed from this life on June 8, 2025, in Arlington. He was born March 17, 2003, in Garland, to Justin Curtis and Althea Louise Campbell Jackson.

Ethan spent most of his childhood in The Woodlands and his later years in the Fort Worth area, where he developed a deep passion for computers—often building them from scratch—and pursued a career in computer security. He was adventurous, thoughtful, and had a sharp wit that made you smile when you least expected it. Ethan was highly intelligent and always ready for a thoughtful debate, but what stood out most was his caring heart.

He had a deep love for his family, especially his brothers and his little sister, and was fiercely loyal to those he called family. He checked in often just to catch up or share something funny. He cared deeply—sometimes more than he let on—and showed up for the people he loved even when he was quietly struggling himself.

From a young age, Ethan showed an exceptional work ethic, building and fixing any computer he could get his hands on. That mix of creativity and drive was a defining part of who he was.

Ethan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Jackson, and grandmother, Deborah Campbell.

Survivors include his parents, Justin and Althea Jackson of Yantis; four brothers, Thomas Jackson of Wichita, C.J. Galvin of Wichita, Clayton Campbell of Yantis, and Forest Jackson of Whitehouse; sister, Winter Jackson of Whitehouse; grandmother, Sheila Jackson of Yantis; uncle, Jason Jackson of The Virgin Islands; aunt, Kayla Jackson of Wichita; and numerous cousins, other family, and friends.

Ethan’s passing leaves a silence that is loud and cruel, but he also leaves behind memories filled with love, laughter, and the deep impact of his presence. He was, and always will be, deeply loved.

Even in this sorrow, we lean into the God of all comfort.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.”

—2 Corinthians 1:3–7
