Mr. Eual Wayne Johnson, 75, passed away at his residence in Mineola on Friday, June 19, 2026. Wayne was born on September 19, 1950, in Commerce to Virgil A.G. Johnson and Edna Mae Francis Alexander Johnson. He was a lifelong resident of the Mineola area and member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.

On June 6, 1970, he married the love of his life, Shirley Rose Blaylock, in Mineola. Together they shared 56 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and community.

Wayne dedicated 36 years of his career to the oil and gas industry, serving as a parts manager. He was also a proud member of Mineola Masonic Lodge #502. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and gardening. Above all, Wayne loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carolin Johnson Wheeler; and his son-in-law, Shannon Windle.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Johnson of Mineola; his son, Kevin Johnson and wife Jennifer of Mineola; his daughters, Karla Windle of Mineola and Kim Roberts and husband Brandon of Mineola; his sisters, Elaine Cook of Mesquite and Darlene Green and husband David of Mineola; eight grandchildren, Amanda Durbin and husband Justin, Samantha Weems and husband Sean, Ashlie Hughes, Erin Gibbons and husband Ryan, Lindsey Farmer and husband Jake, Adielyn Smith, Abel Johnson, and Aspyn Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives, and close friends who will cherish his memory.

Wayne will be remembered for his unwavering devotion and love for his Lord and family, his strong work ethic, and the kindness and friendship he shared with all who knew him.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at New Hope Baptist Church in Mineola, with Bro. Darryl Cook officiating, under the direction of the church and family.
