QUITMAN – Graveside services for Dale Farmer, 57, of Quitman, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Concord Cemetery, Quitman, with Bro. James Cowart officiating.
Mr. Farmer passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, in a Quitman hospital.
He was born Friday, November 29, 1957, in Dallas, to the late Robert Coleman and Lillie Pearl Lee Farmer. He married Donna Sue Nivens on September 15, 1989 in Wood County. He was a welder in industrial construction and had lived in Smith County for 20 years, and Lake Tawokoni for one year before moving to Quitman 2 years ago.
Survivors include his wife of almost 26 years, Donna Farmer of Quitman; sons, Matthew Farmer of Kuna, Idaho, and Nolan Farmer of Quitman; daughter, Gabrielle Jack-Farmer of Gun Barrell City; brother, Robert Farmer and wife Pearl of Grapevine; sisters, Sharon Flanagan and husband Jerry of Ben Wheeler, twin, Gail Corley of North Richland Hills, and Lynn Holcomb and husband Mike of Emory; three grandchildren, Maddie, Hunter, and Haven.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gaylord Farmer and Glenn Farmer.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
