ALBA – Memorial services for Orys Lyneeta “Neta” Fields, 79, of Alba, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel, Alba, with Rev. Pamela Dountas officiating.
Mrs. Fields passed away Monday, February15, 2016, in a Quitman nursing home.
She was born March 20, 1936, in Quitman, to the late Orys Lee and Inez Grice Hayes. She married Kennith Paul Fields on December 29, 1953, in Alba, at the Enon Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in Alba. She worked for 27 years for TXDOT in Tyler and retired as an administrator. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Kennith Fields of Alba; nephew, Mikeual Perritt of Alexandria, Virginia; niece, Carolyn Sue Phillips of Trinidad; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Helen Yvonne Thomas; and an infant brother.
