Flora “Jean” Frazier, 88, of Quitman, passed away on April 23, 2025, in Quitman, Texas. She was born on April 8, 1937, in Chico, Texas, to W.A. and Sally Dickenson Newton.
Jean was raised in Chico and graduated with the Chico High School Class of 1955. That same year, on February 19th, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Joe “Pops” Frazier. The couple made their home in the Collin County area for over 20 years before settling in Wood County 25 years ago.
Jean dedicated 36 years of service to Texas Instruments in Dallas. She treasured time with her family and was a constant, loving presence at her grandchildren’s activities—always showing up to cheer them on whenever she could. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 61 years, Jimmy Joe Frazier; their son, Carey Lynn Frazier; as well as three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her son, Mark Frazier and wife Kayla of Quitman; four grandsons, Marcus Frazier and wife Jannell, Charlie Frazier and wife Sheila, Devin Frazier and wife Carrie, and Camron Frazier and wife Jorie; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Devin Frazier, Camron Frazier,
Henry Mason, and Glen Jones.
The family will hold a private service.
