Funeral services for Nannie Pearl Freeman, 89, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Rev. James Massey officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, Van, TX under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Freeman passed away March 11, 2012 in a Tyler hospice facility. She was born May 9, 1922 to Walter & Lilly Wilson. She spent most of her life in Grand Saline where she worked as a seamstress and in the school cafeteria. She had also lived in Dallas and Lufkin. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton Joseph “Skeeter” Freeman; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James & Kathy Freeman of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Shirley Freeman of Crandall; brother and sister-in-law, Weldon & Patsy Wilson of Humble; three grandchildren, Bryan Freeman, Terry Smith and John Freeman; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Harris, Don Kaufman, Bert Fite and Johnny Stone.
Memorials may be made to the Grand Saline Fire Department/ EMS.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
