Services for Emmer Odell Fritz, 86 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Ridge and Bro. Jay Barnes officiating.
Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery.
Mrs. Fritz passed away May 19, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. She was born June 22, 1926 to Charlie Ray & Mary Alice Brown Payne. She was a homemaker and a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church. She served as a hostess for her church. Emmer is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Fritz; son, Alvin Ray Fritz; and granddaughters, Georgia Kay Thompson and Jennifer Thompson Wise.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary & Clyde Thompson of Grand Saline; sister, Betty Douthitt of Quinlan; sisters-in-law, Joan Payne of Mesquite and Buenia Fritz of Grand Saline; granddaughter and grandsons-in-law, Jana & Louis Criswell and Jim Wise; seven great-grandchildren, Louis Ray Criswell, Curtis Wise, Katie Criswell, Todd Criswell, Dylan Criswell, James Wise and David Criswell; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
