Laurette Gallagher

Laurette Lauzon Gallagher, 90, of Grand Saline, passed away October 21, 2022. She was born August 7, 1932, in Westbrook, Maine, to Adelard & Martha (Melancon) Lauzon. She was a lifelong resident of Maine, most recently residing in Portland at Ashton Gardens Gracious Retirement Living, before moving to Grand Saline six months ago. She had been a member of the Daughters of Isabella, a Catholic women’s service group, and a lifelong Catholic. Laurette had been receiving communion at her home from Our Lady of Hope Parish, while in Maine. She was active with her children in mother’s clubs, at school and church, and enjoyed bowling with her late husband, Martin, in bowling leagues for many years. Laurette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin Gallagher; sister, Lucille Harnois; and brother, Reverend Raymond Lauzon.

Survivors include her son, Patrick Gallagher of Portland, Oregon; two daughters, Martha Corkery of Brunswick, Maine, and Linda Mayhugh and husband Lance of Grand Saline; two grandchildren, Derek Mayhugh of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Cody Mayhugh of Grand Junction, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews, much loved by her; along with many other relatives and friends, and anyone who encountered her precious heart.
