Graveside services for Mr. James Gaskey, 91, of Quinlan, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Woodside Cemetery with Bro. Garvin Pulley officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Gaskey passed away February 18, 2022, at his home. He was born June 13, 1930, in Grand Saline. He spent most of his life in Grand Saline where he worked for Brookshires and Morton Salt for many years. He spent the last several years of his life in Quinlan. James was preceded in death by his mother, Lettie Irene Carmoney Gaskey; wife, Ruby Helen Moore Gaskey son, Shelby Gaskey; and eight siblings.
Survivors include his two daughters, June Gaskey of Lindale, and Brenda Clark of Quinlan; brother, Billy Gaskey of Crane, Missouri; 2 sisters, Patsy Rodriguez of Oak Cliff, and Doris Yielding of Ville Platte, LA; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the funeral home.
