Gay Poston

Services for Gay Poston, 61, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, at Enon Baptist Church, with Bro. Reggie Day officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Gay Poston passed away on January 8, 2026, at her home in Alba. She was born on October 28, 1964, in Dallas.

Gay lived in the Alba area all of her life. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church and worked as an aluminum fabricator. In 1984, she married Gilley Poston.

Gay lived and loved life to the fullest. She was a devoted wife, momma, and Mimi, and she had a deep love for helping others. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Poston, and her father, Henry Hass.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Gilley Poston of Alba; mother, Helen Hass of Alba; son, Dakota Poston and wife Alicia of Alba; three brothers, Asa Staley, Jr. of Alba, John Staley and wife Kim of Fate, and Jackie Staley of Alba; four sisters, Gloria Ragsdale and husband Mike of Alba, Marie Ingram and husband, Don of Quitman, Libby Hass of Alba, and Chastity Hass of Alba; three grandchildren, James, Johnny, and Lucas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Asa Staley, Jr., John Staley, Jeremy Ragsdale, Mason Ragsdale, Jake Hass, and Justin Hass.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
