LONE OAK– Memorial services for Debra Jean Gibson, 64, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Place of Freedom Church, 2304 Stonewall St., Greenville, Texas 75402, under the direction of the family, with Pastor Adam Burruss officiating.
Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gibson passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in a hospital in McKinney.
She was born August 30, 1952, in Paris, to the late Malcom Jackson and Lois Virginia Palmer Gibson. Debra lived in Greenville for 30 years and had lived in Lone Oak for the last 2 years.
She is survived by her son, Jimmie Burchett III of Point; two daughters, Cindy & Joshua Knight of Point and Kandi & Chris Brown of Lone Oak; brother, Jimmy Cupples of Oregon; seven sisters, Pamela Moss of Greenville, Lisa McDonald of Greenville, Sandy Strickland of Leonard, Shannon Justice of Oklahoma, Marybeth Taggart of Dallas, Tammy Taggart of Dallas, and Kim Taggart of Dallas; five grandchildren, Madison Burchett, Kenneth and wife Ashleigh Cawthon, Logan Green, Ty Tolleson, and River Tolleson; and great-grandchild, Lane Cawthon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, James Thomas Burchett; and two sisters, Carla Little and Brandi Walls.
