LONE OAK – Graveside services for Wayne Gideon, 57, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for Sunday, May 28, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Hall Cemetery, Lone Oak, with Bro. Doak Sides and Bro. Paul McMerrell officiating, under the direction of Bartley’s Funeral Home in Lone Oak.
Wayne Gideon passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, after a long battle with cancer at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth.
Wayne was born January 27, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Leona Payne Holleman and Leonard Gideon. He was employed for 28 years by Texas New Mexico Power in Lewisville.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Leona and Don Holleman of Quinlan; son, Travis Gideon of Denton; daughter, Chelsey Gideon of Sanger; sisters, Leatha and husband John Smith of Quinlan and Sylvia Phillips of Cross Roads; grandson, Levi Gideon of Sanger; and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Boyd Phillips.
Family visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
