Joe Gipson

Graveside services for Joe Gipson, 90, of Garland, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2020, at Wieland Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Joe Osby Gipson passed away peacefully at home with his family on November 14, 2020. Joe was born the youngest of 5 children to William "Pop" and Ava Gipson. He met and married the love of his life, Berta Odell May, on March 12, 1949. They had 3 children: Jack, Danny, and Joetta. Joe loved his family above all else and worked to provide for them always. In 1976, Joe and his sons built their business, Tri-con Services, in Rowlett, TX. He worked up until the age of 86 and only then, it was his first stroke that prevented him from physically working but he continued to work mentally every day. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Berta; three brothers; one sister, and one great grandson, Gus Fry.
Joe is survived by son, Jack and Terry Gipson of Lone Oak, son Danny and Marsha Gipson of Lone Oak, and daughter, Joetta and Shelton Boyd of Merkel, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and adopted daughters, Debbie and Tommy Burleson of Tool, and Cheryl and Shorty Giacomazzi of Sunnyvale.
