Mildred Glass

POINT - Services for Mildred Lizzy Stapleton Glass, 105, of Point, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, at Lone Oak Community Church with Bro. Eugene Green and Bro. Charles Sheffield officiating.
Interment will be in Memory Land Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glass passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Emory. She was born September 14, 1912, in Greenville to the late Sam and Maggie Hallmark Stapleton. She married Ivan Glass on October 31, 1933, in Greenville. She lived most of her life in Hunt County. Mildred was a founding member of the Lone Oak Community Church and an ordained minister there. She worked for Haggar’s Pants Manufacturing as a seamstress.
Survivors include her son, Fred and daughter-in-law, Linda Glass of Point; sister, Dausie Mae Baker of Greenville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan Glass; son, Mac Glass; two brothers; and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Mike Underwood, Ricky Underwood, Dennis Underwood, Wayne Stapleton, Kiddo Green, and Jereb Fuslier.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
