Olan Godwin Jr

Olan Dwayne “Lucky” Godwin, Jr., 64, of Grand Saline, passed away on February 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 8, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Olan Dwayne and Patricia Johnston Godwin.

Lucky dedicated much of his career to the family business, Cascade Sales, a building materials manufacturer with operations in Dallas and Wills Point. Ten years ago, he relocated to Grand Saline, where he made his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Kristine Godwin of Grand Saline; son, Wilson Godwin & Jasmine Matthews of Grand Saline; daughter, Katherine Chandler and husband McKenzie of Grand Saline; sister, Cynthia Cremeens of Dallas; grandson, Garren Chandler of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.
