Alice Goodson

Services for Alice Irene Goodson, 79, of Mineola, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Reverend Doug Barker and Bro. Homer Morgan officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Concord Cemetery, Hainesville.
Mrs. Goodson passed away December 1, 2021, at her home in Mineola. She was born December 9, 1941, in Waco. Alice spent her early years in Waco, several years in Dallas, and many years in Phoenix, Arizona, before moving to Mineola in 1979. She was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Goodson is preceded in death by her parents; Emmett & Della Lee Clark Barker; husband, James Earl “Jim” Goodson; grandson, Stephen Burge; brother, Emmett N. Barker; and sister, Jackie Hill.
Survivors include her son, Jim Goodson and wife Leigh Ann of Tyler; two daughters, Debbie Morgan and husband Homer of Fruitvale, and Janie Burge and husband Chuck of Mineola; two brothers, Frank Barker and wife Bonnie of Houston, and Roger Barker of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Judy Fairchild of Rockport, and Claudia White of Waco; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Cook, Jared Cook, Chris Monk, Michael Morgan, Braxton Chambless, and Reece Hopkins.
