Tommye Gregory

Funeral services for Tommye Jobe Gregory, 84, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline.

Interment will be in Sand Flat Cemetery.

Tommye passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, in Tyler. She was born February 7, 1939 in Abilene to the late Howard and Leona Beatrice (Roden) Jobe. Tommye has lived in the Providence Community, near Grand Saline, for the last 44 years and was previously of Ft. Worth. She was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church and spent many years singing with the New City Quartet. Tommye worked throughout her life as a beautician. She owned and operated her own salon in Rock Springs and worked for several salons in the Mineola area. Tommye was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wayne Gregory; 2 sisters, Norma Jobe and Meta Kay Tims; grandson, Zachary Gregory; and great granddaughter, Jailynn Anderson.

Tommye is survived by 2 sons, Darren Gregory and wife, LeeAnn of Grand Saline and Brad Gregory of Grand Saline; 5 grandchildren, Amber Gregory, Ashley Gregory, Timothy Price, Aubrey Price, and Hannah Gross; 15 great grandchildren and one on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home.
