Services for Mrs. Myrtie L. Griffin, 97 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Daniels and Billy Clyde Carter officiating.
Mrs. Griffin passed away March 15, 2012 in Grand Saline. She was born August 31, 1914 in Van Zandt Co. to Daniel Boone & Bertie Guinn Carter. She spent most all of her life in Grand Saline where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She owned/operated Grand Saline Floral for many years and also operated an art studio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Everett Griffin; brothers, Leroy Carter and Bob Carter; and sister, Grace Lewis.
Survivors include daughter, Martha McBeath of Grand Saline; brothers, Bill Carter and D.B. Carter, both of Grand Saline; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter, Sammy Loper, James Giles, Joe Loper, Tommy Carter, Edward Bailey and Michael Koonce.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
