Wanda Hammond

Mrs. Wanda Mae Damron Hammond, 72, of Alba, passed away August 24, 2021, in Tyler. She was born April 14, 1949, in Eden, to Robert Jack and Ella Mae Robbins Damron. On June 28, 2018, Wanda married David Wayne Hammond in Alba. She lived in Streetman before moving to Alba four years ago. Wanda was a wonderful person. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking their favorite foods at holidays. Wanda also enjoyed fishing, planting flowers, and watching the hummingbirds that would come to her garden. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, David Hammond of Alba; two daughters, Tammy Cooley of Cedar Hill and Jennifer Anderson and husband Chad of Weatherford; three brothers, R. D. Damron of Tolar, Weldon Damron of Streetman, and Doyle Damron and wife Lorna of North Carolina, sister, Virginia Hammond of North Dakota; two grandchildren, Camryn Anderson and Jacob Anderson; loving pet, Karli; and numerous other relatives and friends.


The family will be having a memorial service at a later date.
