Odell Hargrove

Services for Odell Miller Hargrove, 98, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. David Hendricks officiating.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Mrs. Hargrove passed away October 13, 2024, in Greenville. She was born on January 6, 1926, in Alba, to Samuel Oscar “Sam” and Allie Ree Osborn Miller. On May 19, 1945, she married Sam Hargrove in Dallas. Odell lived most of her life in Rains County and was a member of Pilgrim Rest #2 Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and work in her flower beds. She also enjoyed canning, especially sweet pickles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years, Sam Hargrove; and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Ronnie Hargrove and wife Winnie Carol of Emory; daughter, Sandy Hargrove of Irving; three grandchildren, Tommy Hargrove and wife Melanie, Kevin Hargrove and wife Kim, and Ronda O’Bier and husband Chris; five great-grandchildren, Marcus Hargrove, Casey Hargrove and wife Whitney, Kayle Hayes and husband Jonathan, Kyle Hargrove, and Preston O’Bier; three great-great-grandchildren, Brantley, Gannon, and Emma; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Hargrove, Kevin Hargrove, Kyle Hargrove, Preston O’Bier, Marcus Hargrove, and Casey Hargrove.
