Services for Crysta Lavern Douthitt Harness, 80, of Mineola are scheduled for 3 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2020, at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola, with Bro. Jim Parker and Bro. Bobby Spann officiating under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden.
Mrs. Harness passed away June 22, 2020, in Tyler. She was born June 18, 1940, in Shirley, Arkansas, to Walter Robert and Artie Irene Guffey Douthitt. On June 1, 1957, Crysta married Farris Harness in Clinton, Arkansas. Together, they lived in Burleson, before spending seven years in Clinton, Arkansas, and finally moving to Mineola, where they have lived for the last eighteen years. Crysta was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church and a member of their Sew–N–Sew Ladies Group. She loved cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother , Winfred Douthitt; and nephew, Walter Douthitt.
Mrs. Harness is survived by her husband of 63 years, Farris Harness of Mineola; one son, Garry Harness and wife Marie of Burleson; one daughter, Kathy Camp and husband Danny of Burleson; one brother, Pete Douthitt and wife Bonnie of Morrilton, Arkansas; one sister, Wanda Owens and husband Howell of Clinton, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Casey Camp and Savannah Harness; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rob Pitre, Blaine Shuttlesworth, Rex Peel, Willie Crump, Alex Gonzalez, and Rafael Amaya
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
