ALBA – Cremation arrangements for Charlie Wayne Harris, 58, of Alba, are under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the funeral home. No services are scheduled at this time.
Mr. Harris passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his residence.
He was born September 16, 1954, in Farmersville to the late Charles Wesley and Thelma Jo Ely Harris. He lived most of his life in the Dallas area before moving to the Alba area in 1987. He was a superintendent for a paint company.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Chuck Harris of Ft. Worth, Jerald and Tina Harris of Greenville, and Nathan Harris of Alba; daughter, Jennifer Harris of Alba; stepsons and spouses, Don and Tina Fortner of Quitman and Wayland and Natalie Fortner of Alba; six grandchildren, Katelynn Brooke Harris, Ashley Harris, Brian Harris, Stephanie Jo Harris, Alyssa Young, and Mason Riggle; uncle, Opa Ely, Jr. and wife Maralyn of Mabank; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harris; his mother, Thelma Jo Heddins; and his wife, Cynthia Harris.
