Kendra Harris

Services for Kendra Harris, 37, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Don Cannon and Sis. Delana Wheeler officiating.

Burial will be in Shields Cemetery(Central Cemetery).

Kendra Janette Harris passed away December 22, 2023, at her home. She was born September 30, 1986, in Sulphur Springs. She spent her life in the Grand Saline area where she worked as a CNA, and was a member of Crossroads Church of Christ. Kendra had received her Phlebotomy certification too. She loved her cats, and adored her family so much. Her kids, sisters, other family, and Jeremy were her whole world! She had such a heart of gold for people that it eventually led her to donate a kidney to Lloyd Erwin years ago.

Kendra is preceded in death by her mother, Latonja Nichols, father, Kenneth McCoy Harris, three brothers, “Brute” Harris, Jason Harris, and Shane Davidson; grandmother, Jeanette Nichols; grandfather, Cliff Nichols; niece, Presley Harris; and father figure, Lloyd Erwin.

Survivors include her fiancé, Jeremy Erwin of Fruitvale; son, Dustin Harris of Edgewood; two daughters, Destiny Huber of Grand Saline, and Danielle Huber of Grand Saline; four sisters, Melina Grimes of Grand Saline, Alisha Harris of Grand Saline, Latrisha Akins of Grand Saline, and Dena Erwin of Fruitvale; grandmother, Paulette Nichols of Mineola; uncle, Michael David of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Harris, Ty Erwin, Caden Erwin, Damon Villines, Kollin Kizzia, Cody Akins, and Kaden Akins.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Joe Erwin.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
