Services for Mr. Kenneth “Brute” Harris, Jr., 39 of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 4 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at Riverside Mission with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley and Bro. Donnie Herring officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Harris passed away September 11, 2012 at a Tyler hospital. He was born February 25, 1973 in Grand Saline to Kenneth & Vickie Joslin Harris. He spent most of his life in Grand Saline and Fruitvale where he was a member of Riverside Mission and graduated Fruitvale High School, Class of ’92. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth McCoy Harris Sr.; brother, Jason Harris; nephew, Rustin Harris; uncle, Tommy Joslin; grandparents, Merlin & Venus Harris and Gordon & Odell Joslin; and grandmother-in-law, Cupie Franklin.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Wendy Harris of Fruitvale; mother, Vickie Joslin of Grand Saline; In-laws, Ronnie & Carolyn Buffington of Emory; son, Hunter Harris of Fruitvale; two daughters, Bree’Anda “Breezie” Harris of Fruitvale and Presley Diane Harris of Fruitvale; half-brother, Shane & Dusty Davidson of Grand Saline; brother-in-law, Joshua Buffington of Emory; sister, Melina & Matt Grimes of Grand Saline; three half-sisters, Alisha Harris of Grand Saline, Latrisha & Cody Akins of Fruitvale and Kendra Harris of Grand Saline; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Harris, Tommy Copeland, Bob Crawford, Nathan Hawkins, Michael Dale Voyles, Mike Messinger, Jerry Gaskill, and Sam Bo Joslin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Jordan, Lil Rick Taylor, Shane Davidson, Joshua Buffington, Brody Harvey and Lil Dougie Copeland.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
