Services for Ricky Lee “Rick” Harris, 73, of Mineola, are scheduled for, 2 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Jim Parker officiating.

Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.

Mr. Harris passed away March 3, 2024, in Tyler. He was born October 17, 1950, in Midland to Richard Wayne and Patsy Buckland Harris. Ricky was a member of the US Army from1972-1979, serving in Colorado Springs, CO, Ft Hood, TX, Germany, and Oklahoma. On June 7, 1980, he married Karen Delayne Humphreys in Mineola. Together, they lived in Mineola for the past 42 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Mineola, where he taught Sunday School, served as a deacon, and taught Royal Rangers. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, David Northcutt; and brother Jeff Harris.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Karen Harris of Mineola; three sons, Matt Harris and wife Buffi of Mineola, Chris Harris of Clyde, and Michael Harris and wife Ginger of Baird; stepdaughter, Gina Dickerson and husband Elton of Clyde; two brothers, Gordon Harris of Oklahoma and Chuck Harris and wife Vicki of Mineola; two sisters, Nita Leonardi and husband Jerry of Mineola and Sherri Weatheread also of Mineola; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
