Ricky Harvey, Sr.

Services for Ricky Dewayne Harvey, Sr., 72, of Terrell, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2024, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating.

Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Mr. Harvey passed away February 6, 2024, at his home in Terrell. He was born August 3, 1951, in Grand Saline, to O. L. and Lillie May Joshlin Harvey, Jr. Rick lived most of his life in Kaufman County. He loved to work. He enjoyed being outside, working cattle, riding horses, and roping. He loved his grandkids and liked to sit under his carport talking and visiting. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 40 years, Rhonda Gail Harvey; and brother, Fearl Dean Harvey.

Survivors include his son, Ricky Dewayne Harvey, Jr. of Terrell; three grandchildren, Sean Harvey and wife Lyndsey, Dustin Harvey and wife Yessica, and John Paul Harvey; three great-grandchildren, Lexie, Ryleigh, Leah, and one more baby girl on the way; Rusty Sherwood and wife Rhonda of Alba; special partner, Kathy Davis of Terrell; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Sean Harvey, Dustin Harvey, John Paul Harvey, Rusty Sherwood, Rick Harvey, Jr., and Lexie Harvey.

The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
