Services for Marie McCauley Hastings, 96, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Chaplain Samuel Glenn officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Hastings passed away December 22, 2024, in Grand Saline. She was born June 1, 1928, in Polk County, Arkansas, to Jesse and Emma Arnold McCauley. Marie lived in Grand Saline for 64 years. She volunteered many hours at the Van Zandt County Genealogy Society and enjoyed attending the Hatfield Reunion in Polk County, Arkansas, for many years. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Hastings; two sons, Jesse Hastings and James Hastings; son-in-law, Bill Pinola; six brothers, Mack McCauley, Allen McCauley, William McCauley, Homer McCauley, Clyde McCauley, Howard McCauley; four sisters, Hester Devine, Dorothy Lloyd, Maddie McCauley, and Helen Ferguson; and two infant siblings.
Survivors include her two sons, Johnny Hastings and Susan Young of Ozark, Alabama, and Travis Hastings and Kathy Foster of Fruitvale; daughter, Wilma Pinola of Canton; six grandchildren, Ian Hastings, Kenzi Hastings, Chuck Todd (Irene), Jessica Holm (Ian), Michelle LeFave (Alex), and Christine Eichel (Brandon); eight great-grandchildren, Ryker Hastings, Sawyer Hastings, Corey Todd, Ryan Todd, Gracie Holm, Charlie Bell, Lillian, and Marion; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to service time on Friday.
