Services for Mr. Larry Hathcock, 71 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley, Gary Edwards and Bro. John Collinsworth officiating.
Interment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Hathcock passed away October 20, 2011 in Grand Saline. He was born August 30, 1940 in Dallas to J.R. & Nedra Joyce Wagner Hathcock. He spent his early years in Dallas and the last 40 years in Grand Saline. While serving in the US Marines, he received the Leatherneck Award and Dress Blue Award. He was heavily involved in Grand Saline Youth Foundation for many years. His life was watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Joyce Hathcock of Grand Saline; sons & daughters-in-law, Jason & Linda Hathcock of Grand Saline, Cody & Jamie Hathcock of Grand Saline; daughters and sons-in-law, Gena & Terry Garrett of Arlington, Stacy & Bryon Deatherage of Grand Saline; brothers & sisters-in-law, Charles & Karla McDowell of Coppell, Fred & Robyn McDowell of Poyner; sisters, Sandra Hathcock and Sue Hathcock; 13 grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hathcock, Cody Hathcock, Hunter Deatherage, Garrett Hathcock, Taylor Lee Garrett and Cole Garrett.
Memorials may be made to the Grand Saline Youth Foundation, P.O. Box 27, Grand Saline, Texas 75140.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
