Services for Glenda Hawkins, 73 of Lindale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Bontrager and Dr. Fred Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Sand Flat Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Hawkins passed away March 31, 2012 in Tyler. She was born February 18, 1939 in Glendale, Arizona to Jim D. & Kate Tucker Jones. She had lived in Gresham and Grand Saline before moving to Lindale three years ago. She was a bookkeeper and a member of Central Baptist Church in Lindale. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dow Jones, Barney Jones and J.D. Jones; sister, Faye Flowers, Jessie Merritt and Theopa Bates.
Survivors include husband Bill Hawkins of Lindale; son, Jerry Bontrager of Magnolia; daughters, Sherry Johnson and Dina Holman, both of Nashville, TN; sister, Ruth Cooper of Tyler; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Johnson, Brett Bontrager, Brian Bough, Whit Davis, Doug Flowers and Jerry Merritt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Yarbrough, Kenneth Bettis and George Saintignan.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home.
