Kenneth Wayne “Jack” Hayes, Sr.
ALBA– Services for Kenneth Wayne “Jack” Hayes, Sr., 80, of Alba, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Alba United Methodist Church, Alba, with Bro. Kevin Wright and Rev. Pamela Dountas officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Hayes passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, in a Winnsboro nursing home.
He was born June 24, 1933, in Rock Hill, to the late Almos and Vera G. Tucker Hayes. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Hughlene McKenzie on January 14, 1956, in Alba. They had been married 51 years at her death on August 19, 2007. He was a machinist in the energy industry. He was a Mason in Dallas. He had lived in Rains County most of his life and was a member of Alba United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and Jeannine Hayes of Alba and Tony and Janey Hayes of Quitman; 3 grandchildren, Janie Neighbors, Kirby Hayes, and Shelby Hayes; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kharley Silva, Kentlee Neighbors, and Kyle Neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hughlene Hayes; brother, James Lee Hayes; and grandson Matthew Hayes.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Assoc., 139 RCR 2223, Emory, 75440
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6–8 p.m.
