Services for Marshall P. Heddin, 86, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.
Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Heddin passed away February 20, 2017, at his home in Grand Saline. He was born December 28, 1930, in Edgewood to Albert William & Eula Francis Parker Heddin. Marshall worked for Ford Motor Company until it closed (1954-1958) and then began working at Morton Salt in 1959 until his retirement in 1992, after 33 years of service. He had also been a Farm and Rancher since 1956. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Heddin was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Osa, Haskell, Kirby, Irby Lee, and Ray; two sisters, Hazel Parkerson and Margie Smith; and grandson, Adam Carroll.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Heddin of Grand Saline; son, Marty Lynn Heddin of Grand Saline; step-son, Craig Tipps of Quitman; two daughters, Debra Jean Heddin of Mineola and Penny Kay Heddin of Mineola; two step-daughters, Sharon Kay Walker of Arlington and J'Lynn Bowers of Tyler; brother, Gayther Heddin and wife Mary of Edgewood; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
