Services for Alice McBride Herrera, 79, of Van, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church, Fruitvale, with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will be in McBride Cemetery, Quinlan.
Alice McBride Herrera passed away May 21, 2024, in Van, where she resided for the last 24 years. She was born August 1, 1944, in Terrell, to Ulric & Opal Burnside McBride. Alice was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church and plated metals as her career.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Geneva Rudnicki; son, Lloyd Kirkpatrick; sister, Madaline Vernon; four brothers, John C. McBride, James McBride, Jimmy McBride, and Bobby McBride; and grandson, James Martinez.
Survivors include her son, James Sharp and wife Tracy of Grand Saline; two daughters, Laura Martinez of Van, and Patricia Taylor of Alba; two sisters, Modine Saenz of Desoto, and Norma Barnhart of Winnsboro; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Ronnie Rudnicki of Tool, and Ralph Martinez of Van; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Martinez, Lil Ralph Martinez, Brayden Martinez, James Sharp, Jordan Gary, and Kenneth Rinehart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bubba Sharp, Brasi Martinez, Jesse James Cooper, Axton Cooper, Kyle Sharp, and Saros Martinez.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home.
