Services for Linda Scott Herring, 65 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Herring and Sis. Delana Wheeler officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Herring passed away May 8, 2013 at her home in Grand Saline. She was born July 15, 1947 in Abilene to Kirby Edward & Willie Pearl Rashell Scott. She spent her early years in Abilene and the last 46 years in Grand Saline. She was a registered nurse, and loved to shop, fish and camp. She was preceded in death by her father, Kirby Scott Sr.; mother, Willie Pearl Rashell Moore; two sons, Eddy Ray Williams and James Dean Herring; daughter, Pamela Kay Herring; two brothers, A.J. Sheridan and Joseph Sheridan; and sister, Merilyn Scott.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Dean Herring of Grand Saline; son, David Paul Harris of Canton; daughter, Linda Claire Husband of Dallas; brother, Kirby Edward Scott, Jr. "Jr. Scott" of Grand Saline; four sisters, Sybil Williams and husband Kenneth of Grand Saline, Barbara Sosa and husband John of Ft. Worth, Judy Diane Smith of Grand Saline, and Jackie Thompson and husband Bobby of Grand Saline; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Herring, James Herring, James Brand, Jason Thompson, Eric Sandstrom, Richard Morgan and Billy Richardson.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
