Services for Kelly Wayne Herron, 80, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2013, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. Bert Fite and Bro. Don Whisenhunt officiating.
Burial will be in Creagleville Cemetery, Grand Saline, TX.
Kelly Herron passed away April 12, 2013. He was born June 11, 1932 in Lawrence Springs to the late Alvy and Gorden Russell Watson Herron. He married Ethel Beatrice King September 25, 1954, in Edgewood and lived all of his life in Van Zandt County. He was a drywall finisher in the construction industry and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvy and Gorden Herron; wife, Beatrice Herron; and son, Freddy Herron.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Pam Herron, Tommy and Tammy Herron, Joe and Bonita Herron, and Rusty Herron, all of Grand Saline; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Beverly Herron of Van; sisters, Dorothy Solomon of Carrollton and Glo Wheat of Canton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mike Herron, Tommy Herron, Joe Herron, Rusty Herron, Tim Herron, and Brian Herron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Herron, Billy Wayne LaPrade, Pat King, Walter (Dink) Dougherty, and Tooter Fisher.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
