Billie Hickson

Services for Billie Jean Shadwick Hickson, 85, of Grand Saline, will be held 12:00pm (noon) Saturday, February 16, 2013, @ Bartley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Virgil Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hickson passed away Thursday, February 14th in Grand Saline.
She was born August 8, 1927, to the late Paul and Gladys McKenzie Shadwick in the Wisdom Temple Community in Van Zandt County, Texas. She worked many years for American Insurance Co. as an accountant. She spent most all of her life in Grand Saline.
Mrs. Hickson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Robert E. Hickson and 1 sister: Bobbie Owens.
Survivors include her son & daughter in-law: Ted & Stella Barrow of Jefferson, 1 brother & sister in-law: Charlie & Betty Shadwick of Mansfield, 1 sister: Ruth Sanders of Vernon, 1 granddaughter: Elaina & Dennis Carr of Canton, 2 great-grandchildren: Khaki & Zoe, 1 Beloved Pup “Worthless” & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives & friends.
Pallbearers are Ben Jaman Driver, Rodney Sanders, Rocky Shadwick, Greg Shadwick & Dennis Carr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bryan McPherson & Connor McPherson.
Visitation will be at Bartley Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service.
