Earnest Allen “Penny” Hill
ALBA – Services for Earnest Allen “Penny” Hill, 68, of Alba, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Hill passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, in a Sulphur Springs hospital.
He was born November 13, 1944, in Rains County, to the late Frank and Madie Pauline Taylor Hill. He loved music and liked to color. He was a lifetime resident of Rains County and a Baptist.
Survivors include his brother, Johnny Hill and wife Joyce of Alba; sister, Mae E. Bell and husband Jack of Alba; numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerrell Hill, 10/7/1999; and sister, Margie Gipson, 2/4/2010.
Pallbearers are Steve Gipson, Dwayne Hill, Dustin Perkins, Dalton Tompkins, Reese Perkins, Robbie Hill; Michael Hill, and Les Sweeden. Honorary pallbearers are members of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
