Alice Hogue

June 21, 1934 — December 28, 2014

Alice Eddith Rouse Hogue, 80, of Lone Oak, reunited with her departed loved ones and her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She passed away at her home surrounded by family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born June 21, 1934, in Plainview, Texas, to Willie Ray “Buddy” and Annie Geneva Rouse. She married the love of her life, James Louis “J.L.” Hogue Jr., on October 29, 1949.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James Ray Hogue and Linda, and Jimmy Don Hogue and Mae, all of Lone Oak; her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Wynel Goforth and Jackie of Point and Pamela Ruth Hogue and John of Lone Oak; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Lees, Jayson McCallum, Samantha Parish, Tommy Warren, Brandon McCallum, Jackie Dale Goforth and Tori, Bobby Subin, Tamara Hogue, Angela Goforth, Alice Winchester and Danny, William “JR” Martin and Carol, and Jeremy Hogue; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; her brothers and sister-in-law, Harrold and Ethel Rouse, Joe and Ruby Rouse, Doy Rouse, and Don and Tina Rouse; one sister, Janice Sullivan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Cathy Marie Hogue and Mary Ann Lees; one brother, William Rayburn “Ray” Rouse; and two sisters, Lillie Estell “Essie” Snell and Shirley Jeanette Fowler.

Pallbearers are Jayson McCallum, Brandon McCallum, Jeffrey Lees, Jackie Dale Goforth, Jeremy Hogue, and William “JR” Martin.
Honorary pallbearer is Danny Winchester.

Burial will be in Creagleville Cemetery, Fruitvale, Texas.
