Services for Janie Belle Smith Hogue, 81, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Lynch Cemetery with Bro. Sam Calk officiating.
Mrs. Hogue passed away August 16, 2021, in Lone Oak. She was born January 19, 1940, in Dangerfield, to Virgle Lee and Clara Lou Mars Smith. Janie lived most of her life in Lone Oak and was a member of Lone Oak Assembly of God. On August 20, 1955, she married Junior Harold Hogue in Lone Oak. She loved Jesus, Church, her family and sewing. She retired from Lance after 15 years of service. Janie was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Junior Harold Hogue; three brothers, Ira Smith, Eugene Smith, and Troy Smith; and great-grandson, Jimeray Hoffman.
Survivors include her son, Roger Hogue of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Nelda Gallagher and John Lindsey of Lone Oak and Ann Cummings and husband Steve of Rockport; two brothers, Frank Smith of Livingston and Daniel Smith of Etoile; three sisters, Brenda Lindsey of Lone Oak, Elisabeth Thompson and husband Russell of Belton, and Larena Moulder and husband Ricky of Hudson; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chad Stroud, Dayton Gallagher, Duane Gallagher, Justin Hogue, Roger Hogue, Jr., and Trystan McGee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dane Gallagher, Chase York, Jayden Lindsey, and Kevin Stroud.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
