YANTIS – Services for Karen Lee Homan, 65, of Yantis, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel, Alba, with Todd McGahee officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Homan passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, at a Tyler hospital.
She was born Thursday, November 16, 1950, in Lake Wales, Florida, to the late Franklin Murray and Beatrice Mary Hartmann Hare. She married Edward Reid Homan on September 3, 1992, in Fort Pierce, Florida. Karen lived in the Yantis area for the last nine years after moving from Fort Pierce, Florida. She was an engineer at Bell South for 31 years and was a member of the St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Fort Pierce, Florida. She was White Oak Shores Event Chairman in Yantis.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Edward Homan of Yantis; 2 sons, Jeffery & Laura Kendall of Vero Beach, FL and Scott and Lynn Kendall of Blackhawk, SD; 3 brothers, John Hare of Lake Wales, FL, Anthony Hare of Danbury, NC, and Gary Hare of King, NC; sister, Susan Miles of Yantis; and 2 grandchildren, Logan and Lillian.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no public viewing.
