ALBA – Graveside services for Daniel Michael Horne, 45, of Alba, are scheduled for 12 noon Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Colony Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Mr. John Ratliff officiating.
Mr. Horne passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Alba.
He was born November 30, 1967, in Irving, to Mike Delroy and Valerie Fortune Horne. He called Alba home, even though he travelled the country working as a first Assistant Cameraman as a proud Local 600 Union member in the motion picture industry. He loved his craft and took pride in his work. He touched many lives and made many friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and laughter. He was proud of his family and always found strength in them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Horne in February 23, 2010.
Survivors include his mother, Valerie Horne of Alba; daughter, Michelle Reeves and husband Randell of Alba; son, Ethan Daniel Horne; grandson, Clayton Reeves; mother of his son as well as his close friend, Rebecca Servidio of Temple, and daughters, Megan and Alexis Servidio.
Pallbearers are Greg Anderson, Matthew Anderson, James Slaughter, John Gordon, Michael Anderson, Jon Vera, and Gene Anders.
Visitation with family members will be held at 6-8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
