Daniel Howard Sr

Services for Daniel P. Howard, Sr., 85, of Alba, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mr. Howard passed away November 2, 2021, in Tyler. He was born May 12, 1936, in North Conway, New Hampshire, to E. Newton & Hilda Marrett Howard. He was raised in Bartlett, NH, and served in the US Air Force from 1956-1960. Daniel lived in Dallas before moving to Alba about 45 years ago. Mr. Howard worked as a boiler mechanic for Holman Boiler Works where he retired over 20 years ago. He was a member of Grand Saline Masonic Lodge #1269 at his death and had received his 50-year pin as a Mason. Daniel was a member of First United Methodist Church in Grand Saline. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maudie Howard; wife, Marjorie Mezzell Howard; son, Daniel P. Howard Jr.; and his brothers and sister.
Survivors include his two grandchildren, Laura Troyer and husband Gary of Alba, and Les Turner and wife Judy of Bremen, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Tiffany Seale and husband Josh, Jason Turner, and Joshua Turner and wife Maryssa; great-great-grandchildren, Stormy Troyer, Joel Turner, and Seth Turner; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at the funeral home.
