Services for Mr. “Charlie” Jackson, 77, of Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church, Fruitvale, with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will be in Starr Cemetery.
Mr. Tommy Charles Jackson passed away December 2, 2024, at his home in Tyler. He was born February 5, 1947, in Denton, to George W. & Violet Harger Jackson. Charlie spent his early years in West Texas, and many years in Grand Saline before moving to Tyler 22 years ago. Charlie was an electrician for over twenty years, and laid wood, laminate, and tile flooring all over East Texas with his flooring company. He enjoyed following his wife around with the drill team in Texas and Oklahoma and was a professional guitar player. Charlie attended Roundflat Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Becky Jackson of Tyler; son, Tommy Jackson, Jr. and wife Deanna of Grand Saline; daughter, Amy Charlene Jackson of Grand Saline; stepsons, Michael Vaughan of Tyler, and Bryan Vaughan of Tyler; two sisters, Patricia Blair and husband Anthony of Grand Saline, and Christine Hedrick; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be James Vaughan, Michael Vaughan, Bryan Vaughan, Krista Ashford, Ricky Martin, Justin Martin, and Chuck Harger.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Friday, at the church.
