June Jenkins

Services for June Rose Sherwood Jenkins, 86, of Alba, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Algia Allen officiating.

Interment will be in Old Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Mrs. Jenkins passed away September 3, 2022, at her residence in Alba. She was born June 16, 1936, in Alba to Joseph Everett and Rosie Lee Dunavint Sherwood. June lived all her life in the Alba area and was a member of the Alba Church of Christ. She was very involved with her family and made great efforts to attend all their activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; four sisters; and daughter-in-law, Paula Jenkins.

Survivors include her son Timothy Jenkins of Yantis; two daughters, Kim Butler and husband David and Kelly McCarthy and Terry all of Alba; sister, Lee Nell Harrell of Lindale; seven grandchildren; Erin Owens, T.J. Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Misti and Devon Hawthorn, Melani and Brian Robbins, Terry and Anna McCarthy, and Kevin McCarthy and Trisha; nine great-grandchildren, Avery, Ainsley, Chrissy-Don, Grayson, Cason, Kale, Kolson, Rhett, and Kaleb; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Neal Russom, Rickie Peebles, Russell Voyles, Sherwood Harrell, Gary Johnstone, and Danny Butler.

The family will receive friends, 10 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
