Barbara Jones

Graveside services for Barbara Jean Jones, 81, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at Creagleville Cemetery, Grand Saline, with Randy Blanks officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Barbara passed away, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in Canton. She was born October 10, 1942, in Mesa, Arizona to the late Charles Edgar and Clella “Mickey” Roseberry Lewis. Barbara has lived in Edgewood for the last 51 years and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lemoine Jones; infant twin sons, Peter and Patrick; granddaughter, Faren Deann Ferris; brother, Chuck Lewis; and sister, Tammie Harley.

She is survived by her son, Scotty Ferris and wife Valeriya of Edgewood; daughter, Carolyn Newton and husband Kirk of Edgewood; brothers, Robert Lewis and wife Debbie of Fruitvale and Buster Lewis and wife Kim of Fruitvale; sisters, Linda Lane of Fruitvale and Dale Geeslin of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Vitaly Bondarenko, Lauren Mintz and husband Clifford, Peyton Russell and husband Braylon, Sheila Pendleton, and Tracy Tidwell; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
