ALBA – Services for Margaret Sue Thomas Kelly, 83, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel, Alba, with George Filpansick officiating.
Burial will be in Colony Cemetery, Alba, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kelly passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017, in a Mineola nursing home.
She was born Sunday, May 7, 1933, in Arlington, to the late Samuel B. and Maude Irene Henderson Thomas. She married Gerald Wayne Kelly on May 9, 1952, in Arlington. Margaret lived most of her life in Arlington and moved from Morgan Mill in 2001 to the Alba area. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Alba Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Gerald Kelly of Alba; son, James Anthony and Sara Kelly of Shelbyville, TN; twin daughters, Jane and Samuel Moore Jr. of Arlington and Susan and Clay Elting of Arlington; and grandchildren, Will Kelly, Samuel Kelly, Asa Kelly, Elias Kelly, and Bethany Kelly; and brother-in-law, M. L. Skinner of Emory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Skinner; and brother, James Richard Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Will Kelly, Samuel Kelly, Asa Kelly, Elias Kelly, Walter B. Ragsdale, Jr. and Sam Fazel.
Family visitation will be at noon prior to the funeral.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
